Sue Zerafa & Smart Little Jo

About 8 weeks before the 2007 N.C.H.A Futurity Denis and I were concerned about Smart Little Jo.

She seemed to be going through the motions of cutting a cow but without expression or willingness. She seemed dull and listless, knowing her sire and dam this did not make sense to us.

We had a friend that had had success by having had a hair test done so we decided to give it a go.

The test showed Little Jo had a residual virus, joint soreness, stomach acidity, inhibited circulation and liver congestion.

I was shocked, surprised and devastated, I felt terrible that I had been working this mare that should not have been walking around let alone trying to work a cow.

With only 6 weeks to go, we all set to work to get Little Jo's system cleaned out and back on track.

The week before we left for Tamworth we had seen some improvement in Little Jo but I was still worried, did we have enough time left?

Pre working and showing takes its toll on the fittest horses.

Once we were there and got started Little Jo got stronger and more willing in her attitude to work.

We were over joyed when Little Jo made the final. I had got more confidence in her attitude and the way she felt when working.

In the final when we found ourselves in a run off for then I was not worried about Little Jo having to get ready and have another run as I felt she was up to the task.

The program and feed Allison and Karen from the Hair Testing Laboratory had suggested for us was definitely the turning point in Little Jo's ability to get through and win the N.C.H.A Non Pro Futurity.

"We have been using HTL for only a few months and the results are unbelievable.

The horses condition and coats are better and the most important thing is the performance and attitude has improved out of sight.

We will continue to use HTL services and products and highly recommend them."

 Wally Copmanhurst Cutting 2008

About 6 weeks ago I was having trouble with muscle soreness with my 10 year old QH gelding, Composers Cutter Boy (Wally). Knowing full well that cutting is very strenuous on joints, ligaments and muscles, I knew I needed to do something to keep him sound and in the best physical condition for him to perform at his best.

In the pass I have had Hair tests done, but was very sceptical about the results. Looking back over this test I contacted Karen & Ali again and started on the products. This was the best thing I could have done. I had already changed his diet 12 months ago but it just was not enough. With the help of Formula Balanced Minerals, Formula Aqua, Formula Brown, Formula Yellow and Formula LPH drops, I started to see an improvement within the week, he now looks a treat and muscle soreness is a thing of the past.

In the beginning, before I started on HTL products, I thought they were more expensive than the commercial brands, but now I am using them, I feel they are saving me money because I am not buying products that I am unsure of what is in them and what they are exactly doing to my horse.

What a pleasure it is to see Wally out in the paddock playing but when he comes back into work he is so willing to work and perform, giving me his all.

Not only do the products work but service at HTL is second to none. Karen and Ali have always been willing to answer any questions I have had, and suggest new ways to improve the health of my horses. I highly recommend HTL products and their service.

Thank you.

Julieann Baulch and Composers Cutter Boy.

I ask a great deal from my horses performing in the campdrafting arena. I need them feeling good, fit and trouble free.

I have had the opportunity to take part in a Kennallywood Equine Rehab 2 day workshop run by Ali and Slim, AKA- Hair Testing Laboratory (HTL). The course was beyond my expectations. I realise how much better my horses could perform if I not only looked after their joints, ligaments and muscles, but also their diet and nutrition. I learnt ways to fight viruses like the common cold, that also effects their performance. The importance of cleaning the Liver & Kidneys, knowing that these organs have a direct link to the digestive system and all body functions again regulating performance.

If I have any queries from cut legs, to breeding, to off their food or performance etc, the service is just a phone call away.

I think it is important to support the well being of your horse for them to support the well being of you – whether it be performing or at work – HTL has helped do that for me every step of the way.

"Two years ago Leuceana Twist who was a new addition to my family at the time, pulled up sore after a Campdraft run. She had slight swelling over her hock joint and it was sore to touch. After 6 months off and painkiller drugs as advised by a vet she still didn't seem to improve. I had come to the conclusion that I would have to breed from Leuceana rather than having her as one of my show horses.

A little while later I attended one of Alisons' clinics where I hair tested Leuceana and started her on supplements along with weekly treatments and soon noticed some improvement. Thanks to Ali and the team at Kennallywood she has been drafted all season without any sign of problems in her hock and I'm able to have a lot of fun on her now."
